Adding Content Randomizer widget to any widgetized area of your WordPress website is the final stage before you see how the plugin works. Access Widget Manager (WordPress admin panel sidebar item “Appearance” and sub-menu item “Widgets”). You may see all available widgetized areas of your WordPress website on the right side and all available widgets on the left side of the page.
Keep in mind that Content Randomizer has two widgets available. One widget is called “Randomizer” which shows one random content post per load (it changes content every time you go to another page of your site or after refreshing the same page in your browser). Another widget called “Randomizer Slideshow” shows multiple posts per page load by rotating them as a slideshow.
You can add widget by dragging it to the desired widgetized area or just by clicking on the widget and then clicking on “Add Widget.” Adding the widget to the widgetized area is not enough, we recommend you to check out the widget settings. Just click on the widget that already placed on the widgetized area, and you’ll be able to see and change its settings.
Both widgets share the same options. You can replace the widget title in the way your website visitors will see it, and you may prefer your title instead of standard “Randomizer” or “Randomizer Slideshow” widget titles. Next step is to select a content type from a drop-down menu. There are three content types available: text, image, and video. Finally, choose the content category created for Content Randomizer. Now you see why it’s highly recommended to sort your random content with categories. Widget shows only content from the selected category and only active posts (if you have posts with time and date restriction, they do not appear on the widget).
