    Hi Dominykas

    Hope all is well.

    Just a quick question for you please. I seem to have an additional tag being printed on the page when I revist a page that I have already rated.

    The renegade line of code is:

    <div itemtype=”http://schema.org/Thing” itemscope=”” itemprop=”itemReviewed”>
    <meta fee-title”=”” content=”Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Makeup Collection<br class=” itemprop=”name”>
    “>

    As you can see there is an additional “> . I don’t know if this is in your plugin or just my code. Can you tell me please where I find the schema etc code? I had a look but couldn’t find it.

    Thanks very much

    Joel

    Hi Joel!

    This is from Rating Manager. You can disable Rich Snippets from the settings panel in Rating Manager > Settings and see for “Structured data”. We use http://schema.org/Review for better SEO. More information is here: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/rich-snippets/reviews#reviews

    I don’t think you need to edit the schema. It’s integrated to work nicely with Rating Manager. If you really need to edit it, then try to use a filter: elm_ur_html_template . Related file is: rating-manager.class.php , but I don’t recommend to edit directly.

    Hi Dominykas

    That’s great, thank you. I switched Rich Snippets off and it solved my problem.

    I’m not clear if the issue is a problem with my code or yours though so might affect other users too.

    I can’t upload screengrabs here so difficult to show you but basically I am seeing “> being printed on the page and have identified that as coming from this line of code which is being broken up:

    <div itemtype=”http://schema.org/Thing” itemscope=”” itemprop=”itemReviewed”>
    <meta fee-title”=”” content=”Charlotte Tilbury Supermodel Makeup Collection<br class=” itemprop=”name”>
    “>

    You can see that the br class”… is being put in the middle of another tag. Is it possible I did this somehow?

    It’s not a problem turning rich snippets off as the client wasn’t expecting this anyway but as you have built it, it would be good functionality to use. It’s fine to stop here though.

    Thanks

    Hi Joel,

    I just tested on a fresh install and I don’t see an extra “>” tag. You wrote:

    div itemtype=”http://schema.org/Thing” itemscope=”” itemprop=”itemReviewed, but this is a different schema (/Thing). Rating Manager use /Review schema.

    I can take a closer look, but I need your site credentials. If you want me to take a look, then please send credentials to dominykas@elementous.com

    Thanks!

    Hi Dominykas

    Thank you for this. I’m happy to switch this off and forget about it if you think it’s a problem elsewhere.

    If it’s not an issue with your code then no worries and I won’t take up more of your time.

    Thank you for all of your help.

    Joel
